Hamburger Hill (1987) - Crazy credits

Hamburger Hill (1987) - Crazy credits

The following poem is shown at the begining of the credits:
If you are able,
case for them a place
inside of you
and save one backward glance
when you are leaving
for the places they can
no longer go.
Be not ashamed to say
you loved them,
though you may
or may not have always.
Take what they have left
and what they have taught you
with their dying
and keep it with your own.
And in that times
when men decided and feel safe
to call the war insane,
wake one moment to embrace
those gentle heroes
you left behind.

Pics from California Academy of Sciences 3/31/09 Adric's Birthday

To celebrate Adric's birthday, we went to San Francisco's Golden Gate Park to see the newly remodeled museum/planetarium/aquarium. It was a real blast. Here are a few pictures.

Dune book review

Sandworms of Dune Sandworms of Dune by Brian Herbert

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
I could not read this book fast enough, very much wanting to get to the end of the story. But when I was finished, I could not believe it was over! So, I went back and reread it again. Fans of Brian Herbert's previous books will like this as well as Frank Herbert devotees. While this is technically the end book of the entire series, there will be still more Dune books that will fill in gaps between previous story arcs.
